Absolutely. Registration and DNS hosting are completely separate products. You can keep DNS at Cloudflare, AWS Route 53 or anywhere else — we just manage the registration and renewal.
How long do domain transfers take?+
Typically 4–7 days as mandated by ICANN. There is zero downtime because we keep your existing DNS zone live throughout the transfer window and only cut nameservers over once the transfer completes.
Do you support country-code TLDs like .in or .co.uk?+
Yes — 400+ TLDs including most ccTLDs. Some country-code extensions require a local presence or tax ID; we advise you on eligibility and handle the documentation where possible.
What exactly is DNSSEC and why does my domain need it?+
DNSSEC (DNS Security Extensions) adds a cryptographic signature to DNS answers. Without it, an attacker can poison a resolver’s cache and redirect your visitors to a fake site — even if your server is perfectly secure. We enable DNSSEC end-to-end in one click and handle algorithm rollovers automatically.
What is DMARC and why do I need it?+
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) tells email providers what to do when a message claims to be from your domain but fails SPF or DKIM. Without a p=reject policy, anyone can send phishing emails that look like they come from you. We configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC progressively and send you weekly aggregate reports so you reach p=reject safely without breaking legitimate sending.
Can you protect my brand by registering defensive domains?+
Yes. We audit your brand exposure — common typos, regional extensions, alternative spellings — and register the highest-risk variants. We configure catchall redirects to your primary domain and monitor TMCH for conflicting sunrise registrations on new gTLDs.
Is there an API for managing DNS programmatically?+
Yes. We provide a REST API with an OpenAPI spec, SDKs for Node.js and Python, and a first-class Terraform provider. Every DNS change via API is logged with a full audit trail, and you can wire webhook events into your CI/CD pipeline for GitOps DNS workflows.
What happens if my domain accidentally expires?+
We send advance renewal notices at 60, 30 and 7 days. If a domain does expire it enters a redemption grace period (typically 30–45 days) where we can recover it for a fee. After that, it goes to auction. We strongly recommend auto-renew, which we enable by default.
